One of the significant advantages of worm gear reducer is the ability to get a large gear ratio in one step (up to 80 in gear of general purpose and up to several hundred – in special gear reducers).
These gearboxes are high and smooth in motion, quiet in operation and self-braking at certain transmitting numbers, which allows for braking devices to be excluded.
